Why CitedTravel

Citations on every value

Publisher, URL, license, retrieval time and a verbatim quote or source value. Your agent can show its work.

Honest confidence

Deterministic, auditable scores with reasons, cross-checked against independent datasets.

Built for agents

Remote MCP server, OpenAPI 3.1, llms.txt, RFC 9457 errors, RateLimit headers and live x402 pay-per-call in USDC on Base.

Multilingual

lang=ja, zh-Hans, zh-Hant with English fallback. Official text is never machine-translated.

Browse by country

Every country has a page with its plug types, voltage, currency, emergency numbers, driving side, upcoming holidays and tipping, each with its source: for example Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Thailand. See all countries.

FAQ

Where do the facts come from?

From public sources whose licenses allow commercial reuse: Wikidata (CC0), Unicode CLDR, python-holidays (MIT), government travel advice (UK FCDO under OGL v3, US State Department public domain, Japan MOFA under PDL 1.0) and attributed CC BY datasets. Share-alike sources are used only for cross-checks.

What does the confidence score mean?

A deterministic score from 0 to 1. It starts from the kind of primary source and goes up or down with independent cross-checks, ambiguity, staleness and expired time-limited rules. The reasons are listed with every fact.

Can I rely on the visa answers?

No. Treat them as decision support. They summarise official government pages, quote them verbatim, link to them, and always carry an advisory. CitedTravel never gives a go/no-go verdict; confirm with the destination government and your carrier.

Which languages are supported?

English (default), Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese for country, currency and (where the source has them) holiday names. Official quotes always stay in their original language.

How do agents pay?

Three ways: static facts need no key; a free API key unlocks entry lookups and trip briefs; or agents pay per call with x402 in USDC on Base (no signup): $0.005 per static call, $0.01 per entry lookup, $0.02 per trip brief. x402 payments are final once settled. Paid monthly plans (Builder, Pro) are coming soon.
