# CitedTravel

> Agent-readable travel facts for 195 countries (plugs/voltage, currency, emergency numbers, driving side, public holidays, tipping) plus a visa/entry pilot (GB, US, JP passports). Every value has sources, license, a verbatim quote or source value, last_verified and a confidence score. REST API and remote MCP server; languages en, ja, zh-Hans, zh-Hant.

Key rules for agents:
- Relay citations and the `attribution` strings to users.
- Entry answers are decision support only: always show `advisory` and `official_links`; never present them as a go/no-go verdict.
- Verbatim `quotes` stay in their original language and are authoritative; translations (none yet) are unofficial.
- Static facts need no key (60 req/min/IP). Entry and trip briefs need a free key (POST /v1/keys) or an x402 payment. x402 is live: USDC on Base (eip155:8453), $0.005 static / $0.01 entry / $0.02 trip brief; settled payments are final. Builder/Pro plans are coming soon.
